About Billo’s

Tucked away on a quiet yet charming street in Esperance, Western Australia, Billo’s is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom holiday house just a stone’s throw from the ocean and a short stroll into town.

Every corner of Billo’s has been carefully considered, from local ceramics and handmade pieces to vintage finds collected from all over the world. We wanted to create a place that felt like home, while still giving you that feeling of being somewhere else — the kind of place you remember from a really good holiday. Familiar, a little unexpected, and somewhere you wish you could stay just a little longer.

The story behind Billo's

Billo’s takes its name from a man called Bill Coppin, a young pilot and fighter who grew up in Norseman and spent many of his holidays in Esperance.

During the Second World War, Bill served as a fighter pilot and tragically lost his life in 1943 when his aircraft was shot down over Papua New Guinea.

Although we never knew Bill, we liked the idea of giving this little house a name with a connection to the place it calls home. Esperance was somewhere Bill knew and loved, and generations of people have come here for the same reason — to escape, explore, slow down and spend time by the WATER.

So, Billo’s is a small nod to Bill, to Esperance, and to the simple tradition of a Really good holiday by the SEA.
